This 42 year old tradition of Webster, NY was started by Jim May, former English Teacher in Webster. Jim May started this event simply as a practice run for his Cross Country Team, as a way for them to get a workout on Thanksgiving Day. As the years progressed, the event grew to what it is today. Jim May's former XC Runner, Dave Boutillier, took over the reigns of the race in the late 90's under his Race Directing Company, YellowJacket Racing. Each year this race reminds Dave and many other former Webster residents of his youth and running this event every year.
Join us for this long standing tradition

4.4 Mile Course
4.4 Mile Course Map
This route is the exact route Jim formed 40 years ago. Due to long standing tradition it has not been changed nor altered. Please note, it may wind up a little less than 4.4 (more like 4.12) but due to its long standing tradition of being stated as 4.4 miles take it as you ran a really good 4.4 miler.
The last 1/4 mile is on grassy trails in Webster Park.
2.5 Mile Course
2.5 Mile Course Map
This fun run starts at 10:10AM at the corner of Holt and Lake.
The fun run finishes the same way the 4.4 miler does
The fun run will be chip timed

Directions to Race
Take 104 to Holt Road Exit, head North on Holt Rd. towards Webster Park
Please carpool if you can. Parking will be in the Parkview Lodge Lot, the lot across from Parkview Lodge AND overflow in the Pier Lot on Lake Rd. If a lot is full it will then be closed and you will be detoured to the overflow Pier lot. There will also be shuttle bus service from the following locations:
Thomas HS/Willink Middle School.
Klem North/South Elementary
The Mall Lot next to Red Robin Restaurant (across from Wegman) on the corner of Holt and 104.
See below for shuttle details.
Shuttle Bus service
For those that do not want to deal with parking at the park, a free shuttle service is being provided. We have TWENTY SIX Shuttle Busses this year AND 3 Shuttle Bus Locales. To keep stress low for you - simply arrive early and no later than 9:15AM. Keep a smile on your face and enjoy the day :)
Shuttle Bus service is available from
Willink Middle School on Publishers Pkwy, with overflow service at Webster Thomas HS on Publishers Pkwy
Klem Road School North and South on Klem Rd.
Webster Town Centre Mall where Red Robin and Pizzeria Uno Restaurants are located at the corner of Holt and 104. From 104 go South on Holt - its at the corner.
Here's how it works:
You can park at Willink Middle School (Publishers Pkwy - in between Five Mile Line Rd and Hard Rd). If Willink fills, overflow parking is at Webster Thomas HS East Lot. You can also park at Klem Road North or South Schools on Klem Rd. Or Exit from 104 south on Holt there is a large lot (Webster Towne Center Mall) at the Red Robin Restaurant/Pizzeria Uno Mall Lot
The bus will pick up at each location then to the park to drop off. The bus ride is about 10-15 minutes and drop you off right at the park near Parkview Lodge. Specifically at the corner of Lake/Holt (on the Lake - the westside of Holt). Its due north of the Parkview Lodge parking lot. Busses will circle back to Klem, Willink & Thomas and Mall Lot off Holt picking people up to bring to the race; and after the race busses will circle back to the park to bring people back to their vehicles.
New this year: Shuttle parking available at the Webster Towne Center Mall! We will have several hundred spaces available in the vacant area parking lot west of Uno Chicago Grill. Click Here for a map and a shuttle bus pickup location.
Shuttle Service to the race:
Begins at 8:15AM. We advise getting to the shuttle location no later than 9:15AM to ensure getting to the park on time. The busses will leave about every 5-7 minutes. Again there are 26 shuttle busses this year which is increased from previous years. Busses will leave their locations even if its not full. The last bus to the park leaves at 9:45AM but you will be cutting it close to start time of race - we advise GET THERE EARLIER. Its a good idea to get your packet during packet pickup, to make race day faster. Drop Bag service will be available near Parkview Lodge to leave your items. Please see Drop Bag Service below for details and rules.
Shuttle Service after the race:
Busses will begin bringing participants back to Klem, Willink & Thomas and Webster Towne Centre Mall starting at 10:30ish. And will leave approximately every 5 minutes. The final bus will leave the park at 11:30AM to bring people to shutle locales. Please get into the shuttle line and do not cut the line - it doesn't help. Volunteers will be helping keep the lines moving.
Be sure to thank the bus drivers for working on their holiday to provide a safe ride for you to the park :)
Bicycle Parking Lot
We will be offering a FREE secured location to park bikes that you and your family ride to the park. This is one of the best ways to get to the park race day and you will get prime parking location on the grass near Parkview Lodge and the Bag Drop!! This is a highly advised service.
Drop Bag Service
Drop Bag Service will be available outside Parkview Lodge courtesy of Fleet Feet Sports.
By following just a few simply directions you can help make the drop bag service go nice and smooth.
• You must use the supplied poly bag as your drop bag. Poly bags can be picked up at the drop bag location. We can not accept other bags or items not in bags for this service.
• At Parkview Lodge look for a big tent, this is where you should drop off your race bag.
• All items that you wish to store must fit inside the supplied bag.
• Be sure to write your bib number on a white label and place the label firmly on the outside of the bag. White labels and markers will be available at the drop bag location.
• To retrieve your bag you must show your bib number and you’ll be given your bag.
• No bib number no bag.
We can not be responsible for any lost and misplaced bags. Any bags not picked up will be available for pickup at Fleet Feet Sports starting Saturday, Nov. 30th. Any bags not picked up after one week will be donated.
