Don't forget to get your Bib Number race morning - NO BIB NO TIME.  If you lose it or forget it, there is a $5 Replacement Fee.

This 41 year old tradition of Webster, NY was started by Jim May, former English Teacher in Webster. Jim May started this event simply as a practice run for his Cross Country Team, as a way for them to get a workout on Thanksgiving Day. As the years progressed, the event grew to what it is today. Jim May's former XC Runner, Dave Boutillier, took over the reigns of the race in the late 90's under his Race Directing Company, YellowJacket Racing. Each year this race reminds Dave and many other former Webster residents of his youth and running this event every year.

Join us this year for this long standing tradition

I forgot one important note - When lining up at the start faster folks towards the front.  If you are a walker or slower runner - please start towards the back.  This helps for your safety.  Thanks!

4.4 Mile Course

4.4 Mile Course Map

This route is the exact route Jim formed 40 years ago. Due to long standing tradition it has not been changed nor altered. Please note, it may wind up a little less than 4.4 (more like 4.12) but due to its long standing tradition of being stated as 4.4 miles take it as you ran a really good 4.4 miler.

The last 1/4 mile is on grassy trails in Webster Park.

2.5 Mile Course

2.5 Mile Course Map

This fun run starts at 10:10AM at the corner of Holt and Lake.

The fun run finishes the same way the 4.4 miler does

The fun run will be chip timed

Directions to Race

Take 104 to Holt Road Exit, head North on Holt Rd. towards Webster Park

Race Parking

Please carpool if you can. Parking will be in the Parkview Lodge Lot, the lot across from Parkview Lodge AND overflow in the Pier Lot on Lake Rd. If a lot is full it will then be closed and you will be detoured to the overflow Pier lot.  There will also be shuttle bus service from Willink Middle School.  See below.

Shuttle Bus service

For those that do not want to deal with parking at the park, a free shuttle service is being provided.  To keep stress low for you - simply arrive early and not at 9:45AM.  Keep a smile on your face and enjoy the day :)

Shuttle Bus service is available from Willink Middle School on Publishers Pkwy, with overflow service at Webster Thomas HS on Publishers Pkwy, plus a new location at Klem Road School North and South.  Here's how it works (and please bear with us, this is our first time doing a shuttle service for 3 locations):

You can park at Willink Middle School (Publishers Pkwy - in between Five Mile Line Rd and Hard Rd).  If Willink fills, overflow parking is at Webster Thomas HS East Lot.  You can also park at Klem Road North or South Schools on Klem Rd.

The bus will pick up at Willink first in the bus circle, then shuttle to Thomas HS then to the park to drop off.  Then pick up at Klem North's bus circle, then Willink, then Thomas then to the park again and repeat.  The bus ride is about 10-15 minutes and drop you off right at the park near Parkview Lodge.  Specifically at the corner of Lake/Holt (on the Lake - the westside of Holt).  Its due north of the Parkview Lodge parking lot.  Busses will circle back to Klem, Willink & Thomas picking people up to bring to the race; and after the race busses will circle back to the park to bring people back to their vehicles.

Shuttle Service to the race:

Begins at 8:30AM at Willink.  The busses will leave about every 5-7 minutes.  Busses will leave Willink and Thomas even if its not full.  The last bus to the park leaves at 9:45AM and you should arrive in time for the start of the race.  Its a good idea to get your packet during packet pickup, to make race day faster.  Drop Bag service will be available near Parkview Lodge to leave your items.  Please see Drop Bag Service below for details and rules.  We can not stress enough how much we advise to be early!!!!

Shuttle Service after the race:

Busses will begin bringing participants back to Klem, Willink & Thomas starting at 10:30ish.  And will leave approximately every 5 minutes.  The final bus will leave the park at 11:30AM to bring people to Willink.

Be sure to thank the bus drivers for working on their holiday to provide a safe ride for you to the park :)

Drop Bag Service

Drop Bag Service will be available outside Parkview Lodge courtesy of Fleet Feet Sports.

By following just a few simply directions you can help make the drop bag service go nice and smooth.

• You must use the supplied poly bag as your drop bag. Poly bags can be picked up at the drop bag location. We can not accept other bags or items not in bags for this service.
• At Parkview Lodge look for a big tent, this is where you should drop off your race bag.
• All items that you wish to store must fit inside the Drop bag.
• Be sure to write your bib number on a white label and place the label firmly on the outside of the bag. White labels and markers will be available at the drop bag location.
• To retrieve your bag you must show your bib number and you’ll be given your bag.
• No bib number no bag.

We can not be responsible for any lost and misplaced bags. Any bags not picked up will be available for pickup at Fleet Feet Sports starting Saturday, Nov. 26th. Any bags not picked up after one week will be donated.

Food Drive Info

We are having a A Food Drive for the Hope House in Webster. One of the Sponsors, Fleet Feet Sports along with YellowJacket Racing, is hosting a Food Drive starting November 19th at Fleet Feet Sports during Packet Pickup and extending that entire week thru Sunday, Nov. 27th.
