This race brings a picturesque countryside with at least 40% of the course on dirt roads to ease the legs for the half marathon course along with historic colonial homesteads and history.  This event is a benefit for the Genesee Valley Conservancy in hopes to help conserve the natural landscape that you'd be running through.  Perfect opportunity for a long training run before the fall marathon.

9:00 AM:    Half Marathon Starts

9:15 AM:    5K Starts

11:15 AM:  5K and Half Marathon Awards Ceremony

·          USATF Certified 13.1 Mile Course starting on Rt 39 near Geneseo High School

·       Water Stations approx. every 2 miles

·      Gel Stations at approx. 4 & 8 mile mark (You can get gels to train with at Fleet Feet Sports)

·       40% of course is on country dirt roads through majestic horse stables and colonial aged Oak Trees and green fields

·       The first 2 miles is within village of  Geneseo homesteads

·       The finish is on the Geneseo High School Track

The half marathon course is in celebration of the Oak Trees on Nations/Roots Tavern and Houston Rd.  This unique blend allows you to experience colonial times in the village and old country scenery on the hard dirt pack roads great for easing the legs.  Excellent tune up for fall marathons with a post race feast to make the day complete.

·       The course takes you through the colnial homesteads within the village of Geneseo

·       The finish is on the Geneseo H.S. Track

Registration/Packet Pickup: Available at Fleet Feet Sports, 2210 Monroe Avenue, Rochester, 14618 on Friday, August 31st, (10-7PM), Saturday, September 1st (9-5PM) or race morning at the race site starting at 7:30AM.  Chips will be picked up race morning near registration area.

Directions to Race:

From Rochester: Take 390 South to Exit 8.  Take 20A West to Rt 39 in Geneseo.  Take Rt 39 North, the High School is about 1.5 miles up on the left. 

From Buffalo: Take thruway to Exit 48 (Batavia). Left on Oak St (Rt 98) then left on Rt 63.  Take Rt 63 South towards Geneseo, then north on Rt 39, the High School is about 1.5 miles up on the left.

From South:  Take 390 North to Lakeville exit (Exit 8).  Take 20A West to Rt 39 in Geneseo.  Take Rt 39 North, the High School is about 1.5 miles up on the left.
